Lego BricQ Essential
Unlock the world of science and engineering with our engaging LEGO BricQ Essential Course! Designed for young innovators, this hands-on course brings STEM concepts to life through playful learning. Students will explore physics, motion, and engineering principles using the LEGO BricQ Essential kit, making learning both interactive and fun.
Lego BricQ Course Highlights
Hands-On Learning: Experience the joy of building with LEGO bricks while discovering key STEM concepts. This course emphasizes hands-on activities that encourage creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
Engaging Projects: From building moving vehicles to exploring simple machines, each project is designed to help students understand the fundamentals of physics and engineering in an enjoyable and interactive way.
Direct or Online Learning: This course is available as a direct, in-person class at our center. Alternatively, if you have the LEGO BricQ Essential kit, you can join our online sessions from the comfort of your home. Our instructors will guide the kids step-by-step through each project.
Age-Appropriate Curriculum: Tailored for young learners, the curriculum ensures that students grasp complex concepts through easy-to-understand instructions and engaging activities.
What you'll explore?
Dog Obstacle Course: Describe the push and pull forces that work
Get up and Dance: Explore how different gears push each other
Hockey Practice: Explore how different forces make and block penalty shots
Push Car Derby: Explore spring launchers and the effects of friction
Tight Rope Walker: Help the tight rope walker keep her center of gravity so she doesn’t fall
Sail Car: Explore an invisible force and the sail design that catches the most wind and makes the car go the fastest
Relay Race: Test mechanisms that can pass objects to a team mate
Track and Field: Build a mechanism that represents a track and field event and explore the forces that make athletes move.
Race Car: Build a race car model and launcher, and experiment to recognize a pattern in the car’s motion
Free Throw: Explore the motion of a basketball when scoring a three-point throw.
Bobsled: Explore the forces that make a bobsled move and experiment with mass.
Weightlifter: Explore how mechanical advantage will help a weightlifter lift more weight at the gym.
Gravity Car Derby: Build a ramp and a gravity-powered car and explore the forces that are at work at a downhill go-cart.
Helicopter: Build a helicopter model to learn about rotary motion and aerodynamics.
Windmill: Understand wind energy by constructing a windmill that captures and uses power.
Zipline: Create a zipline setup to explore gravity and speed.
Jumping Frog: Design a jumping frog mechanism to understand potential and kinetic energy.
Tower Crane: Learn about balance and load distribution by constructing a tower crane.
Scissors Lift: Build a scissors lift to see mechanical principles in action.
Excavator: Create an excavator model to explore hydraulic systems and mechanical arms.
Air Hockey: Construct a mini air hockey table to explore friction and motion.
Camshaft: Understand rotational motion by building a camshaft mechanism.
Ferris Wheel: Create a Ferris wheel model to study rotation and balance.
Shoot and Catch: Design a game that shoots and catches objects to understand projectile motion.
Candy Shooter: Build a candy shooter for a fun way to learn about force and trajectory.
