ROBOTICS COURSES FOR KIDS

Lego WeDo 2.0

Our Lego WeDo 2.0 Robotics Course is designed to introduce young learners to the exciting world of robotics, engineering, and programming. Using the versatile Lego WeDo 2.0 kit, students will engage in hands-on projects that develop their creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork skills. This course makes learning science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) concepts fun and engaging through playful learning.

Lego WeDo Course Highlights

    • Hands-On Learning: Students will build and program interactive robots using the LEGO WeDo 2.0 kit, gaining hands-on experience in basic robotics and programming.

    • Engaging Curriculum: The course covers a variety of projects, including building simple machines, exploring environmental science through robotics, and developing problem-solving skills by completing fun challenges.

    • Programming Skills: Using an intuitive, block-based coding environment, students will learn to program their creations, bringing their LEGO models to life. This introduction to coding lays a strong foundation for future learning in more advanced programming languages.

    • Direct and Online Learning Options: We offer both direct, in-person classes and online sessions for students who have the LEGO WeDo 2.0 kit at home. This flexibility allows students to learn in an environment that suits their needs best.

What you'll explore?

Cooling Fan: Build a fan and speed it up using a tilt sensor.
Moving Satellite: Learn key aspects of satellites—build, code, and control your own.
Spy Robot: Explore the workings of a motion sensor and build both a spy robot and a guard robot.
Rover: Build a simple space vehicle, make it roam, and enhance its intelligence with sensors.
Detectors: Learn about different types of detectors and create a detector using basic color concepts.
Carousel: Discover the importance of force while enjoying the challenge of building a carousel.
Morse Code: Communicate using dots and dashes and explore the origins of early communication.
Radio: Set the frequency and control sound with the help of sensors.

Tower Crane: Explore the components of a tower crane and use it to lift and move materials.
Bicycle: Explore the forces acting on a bicycle, understand the role of equilibrium, and build your own bike model.
Raiser: Lifting is achieved by rotating the motor to construct a raiser.
Forklift: Shift materials and learn the importance of the stability triangle in forklifts.
Grabbing Objects: Use a simple pulley mechanism to grab different objects.
Snow Plough: Clear the area by operating the snow plow with steering controls.
Balance Scale: Build a weighing scale to determine which side is heavier using a tilt sensor.

Pulley: Learn about motion transfer and its types.
Pulling: Explore how load affects pulling strength by building and visualizing the results.
Gears: Explore different gears and gear connections, and understand their critical role in machinery and speed.
Rack and Pinion: Learn about rotary to linear motion by building an elevator.
Compound gears: Make it move faster and faster by creating a fidget spinner with a compound gear mechanism.

Drop and Rescue: Learn different rescue mechanisms to lift the panda using rope rescue technique.
Sort to Recycle: Learn the importance of recycling by building a garbage truck that sorts objects by shape.
Sea cleaner: Help clean the sea and protect animals while exploring motion transfer with rubber bands.
Flood Gate: Control the flood gate with a perpendicular gear connection and learn its use.
Wildlife Crossing: Build a wildlife crossing and master spur and worm gear mechanisms!
Earthquake: Build a structure and test its resilience against earthquakes.
Volcano Alert: Discover how a tiltmeter works and how it predicts volcanic eruptions.
Moon Base: Set up a moon base with a builder robot, and learn how to make the robot turn while shifting materials.

Glowing Snail: Discover the science of bioluminescence and bring it to life through a robotic model.
Animal Expressions: Explore the tilt sensor’s states and make your firefly glow.
Pollination: Guide the robotic bee to the flower and master the motion sensor.
Animal Sensing: Explore animal sensing and learn how to use twisters.
Metamorphosis: Build a tadpole and adult frog to explore the frog’s life cycle.
Predator and Prey: Explore animal attack strategies, build a motion-sensing crocodile, and learn motion transfer basics.
Woodpecker: Make it peck using a simple rotating mechanism powered by a motor.
