ROBOTICS COURSES FOR KIDS

Lego Spike Prime

Dive into the world of robotics and engineering with our LEGO SPIKE Prime Robotics Course! Designed for middle school students, this hands-on course uses the LEGO SPIKE Prime set to explore the exciting realms of robotics, coding, and STEM concepts through interactive projects and problem-solving challenges.

Course Highlights

Engaging Robotics Projects: Students will build and program various robots using the LEGO SPIKE Prime kit.

Introduction to Coding: Using the intuitive SPIKE Prime app, students will learn to code their robots using a visual block-based programming language.

STEM Integration: Each project integrates core STEM concepts, including engineering principles, physics, and mathematics, making learning both practical and fun.

Flexible Learning Options: Our LEGO SPIKE Prime course is available as both in-person and online classes. For those with the LEGO SPIKE Prime kit at home, online sessions provide a flexible learning environment, while in-person classes offer hands-on guidance.

What you'll explore?

Introduction to the Spike Prime kit and its components.
Exploring the Spike Prime Hub (brain of the robot), motors, sensors, and connectors.
Exploring basic coding blocks (movement, sounds, lights).
Writing a simple program to make the robot move forward and stop.
Programming the robot to perform different types of movements (forward, backward, turns).
Experimenting with speed and duration of movements.

Kiki The Dog: Turn your story into reality by identifying a problem through careful observation of the scenario.
Hopper Race: Develop multiple prototypes to discover the most efficient way to make the robot move.
Super Cleanup: Identify the best grabber for the scenario and modify it to suit your needs.
Broken: Discover what CNC is, and learn how to set up the model and make it work.
Wheelchair: Learn how to build a motor-powered wheelchair, understand its mechanisms, and enhance it with sensors to make it smart.

Place Your Order: Unlock precision with color sensors to create an efficient quality-checking robot.
Out of Order: Build a delivery cart and use an ultrasonic sensor for smarter navigation.
Track your Packages: Build a tracking device and learn to use XY coordinates to control needle movement.
Keep it Safe: Build lockers can be made safer using a simple mechanical mechanism.

Break Dance: Explore how the motor movement block works. Use it to make your robot dance in any way you like.
Repeat 5 times: Smart Moves, Smarter Fitness: Let Your Robot Count the Burn!
Rain Or Shine: Develop a method for displaying a weather forecast utilizing cloud data.
Wind Speed: Make a trendy wind meter by utilizing cloud data.
Veggie Love: Using Live Forecast Data to Keep Your Tomato Plants Perfectly Watered This Week!
Brain Game: Create a game where you feed a colored candy stick, helping you understand what an array is.

Driving Around: Construct a driving base and enable precise, controlled movements.
Playing With Objects: Master using ultrasonic sensor blocks to improve object detection accuracy, and ensure your driving base navigates without hitting any obstacles.
Reacting to Lines: Build a line follower robot that uses light intensity to enhance its precision in following the line.

Weightlifter: Learn how to synchronize motor movements by building a weightlifter robot.
Stretch With Data: Create a yoga ring that graphs your stretches, adjusting to match the graph for perfect alignment.
This is Uphill: Learn the basics of potential energy and generate a graph showing how energy increases as you move upward.
Time for Squat Jumps: Build a kettlebell jump and learn the basics of potential energy. Generate a graph to show how energy increases with height.
Watch Your Steps: Count your steps using an accelerometer sensor and have fun while walking.
Aim For It: Play street curling rock and learn how to visualize speed over time with a graph.

Drone Rover: Explore the science behind how drone blades generate lift.
Race Car: Learn how gear ratios help us increase speed and improve performance.
MotorBike: Learn how to balance the forces on a bike to make it move, and understand the key role of equilibrium in this process.
Forklift: Shift materials and understand the importance of the stability triangle in forklifts.
Crane: Assemble the key parts of the crane and modify it to function as a rotating crane.
Gymnastic Robot: A beam and parallel gear connection create a fun-filled gymnastic robot.
Robotic Arm: Build an arm and control it using a touch sensor for grabbing and releasing.

Pass the Brick: Build a simple gripper and control it with buttons or sensors to enjoy fun-filled brick arranging games.
Going the Distance: Stop the model when it hits an obstacle—this is the foundation for a vacuum cleaner robot.
Goal: Work together to create an exciting tabletop challenge and aim to score as many goals as possible.
Theme Park: Build a Ferris Wheel and Swing with Simple Gears.
Smart Bin: Revolutionize Waste Management with Ultrasonic Precision
